Nissan Murano: Towing a trailer / Flat towing for all–wheel drive vehicle (if so equipped)
Towing your vehicle with all four wheels on
the ground is sometimes called flat towing.
This method is sometimes used when
towing a vehicle behind a recreational vehicle,
such as a motor home.
CAUTION
- Failure to follow these guidelines can
result in severe transmission damage.
- Never flat tow your All-Wheel Drive
(AWD) vehicle.
- DO NOT tow your All-Wheel Drive
(AWD) vehicle with any wheels on the
ground. Doing so may cause serious
and expensive damage to the
powertrain.
- For emergency towing procedures refer
to “Towing recommended by
NISSAN” in the “In case of emergency”
section of this manual.
In order to gain skill and an understanding
of the vehicle’s behavior, you should practice
turning, stopping and backing up in an
area which is free from traffic...

WARNING
Make sure that all passengers have
their hands, etc., inside the vehicle before
closing the liftgate.
Do not leave children unattended inside
the vehicle. They could unknowingly
activate switches or controls.
Unattended children could become
involved in serious accidents...
Perform the following steps to enable or
disable the TSR system.
Press the button until
“Settings”
displays in the vehicle information display
and then press the OK button. Use
the button to select “Driver
Assistance.”
Then press the OK button...

The autolight system allows the headlights
to turn on and off automatically. The autolight
system can:
Turn on the headlights, front parking,
tail, license plate and instrument panel
lights automatically when it is dark.
Turn off all the lights (except daylight
running lights) when it is light.
Keep all the lights on for a period of time
after you place the ignition switch in the
OFF position and all doors are closed.
