Nissan Murano: Vehicle-to-vehicle distance control mode switches / How to change the set distance to the vehicle ahead

The distance to the vehicle ahead can be
selected at any time depending on the traffic
conditions.
Each time the distance
switch
is
pushed, the set distance will change to
long, middle, short and back to long again,
in that sequence.

Distance Approximate distance at 60 mph (100 km/h) [ft (m)]
- Long 200 (60)
- Middle 150 (45)
- Short 90 (30)
- The distance to the vehicle ahead will
change according to the vehicle speed.
The higher the vehicle speed, the longer
the distance.
- The distance setting will remain at the
current setting even if the engine is restarted.
To cancel the preset speed, use one of the
following methods:
Push the CANCEL switch. The set vehicle
speed indicator will go out.
Tap the brake pedal...
If your vehicle comes closer to the vehicle
ahead due to rapid deceleration of that vehicle
or if another vehicle cuts in, the system
warns the driver with the chime and
ICC system display...
Other information:
The three-way catalyst is an emission control
device installed in the exhaust system.
Exhaust gases in the three-way catalyst
are burned at high temperatures to help
reduce pollutants.
WARNING
The exhaust gas and the exhaust system
are very hot...
Push the switch on to warn other drivers
when you must stop or park under emergency
conditions. All turn signal lights flash.
WARNING
If stopping for an emergency, be sure
to move the vehicle well off the road.
Do not use the hazardwarning flashers
while moving on the highway unless
unusual circumstances force you to
drive so slowly that your vehicle might
become a hazard to other traffic...
